Abhinav Shukla talks about wife Rubina Dilaik being more successful; says ‘at home, she is my wife

Other than being actors and a happily married couple, Abhinav Shukla and Rubina Dilaik are adventure junkies who love traveling together. Well, after a successful stint on Salman Khan ’s reality show Bigg Boss 14, which was won by the Shakti Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki actress, the love birds are now shining on our screens in MX Player series Wanderlust. It is a show where they get to take their love for travel to another level. Well, in the 6 part series, the two can be seen exploring Abu Dhabi and enjoying the ‘Emirati life’.

While both Abhinav and Rubina are well-known names, the latter is more popular in the television industry. Well, in a chat with Pinkvilla, Abhinav opened up about the same and stated, “We’ve to be practical about it. It is what it is. Somebody would be a fool who doesn’t admit she is more successful. She is doing more work than I am, that’s a fact. So if I try to say, ‘nahi yaar hum dono barabar hain (both of us are equally successful),’ that’s when she needs to compensate. But I know she is more successful than me, but that’s the profession, once she is at home, she is my wife.”

He went on to add that they don’t bring their baggage home. Abhinav explained, “We are not competing. We are professionally sorted. At home, we don’t talk about work.” Rubina, on the other hand, credited husband Abhinav for making her comfortable with the fact that it is normal for a woman to be more successful than a man. The actress knows that no matter where she is in life, he will always be there for her. Now that’s what a secure relationship looks like!
