After quitting Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Aditya Narayan turns host for Superstar Singer 2; says ‘I’m returning back home’

Just last month, singer Aditya Narayan announced that he has decided to bid adieu to his hosting duties for singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa . 15 years ago, he had made his television debut with Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge and was an integral part of almost every season. Back then, Vishal Dadlani had hoped that Aditya would change his mind and had joked, “Jaa, Adi....Jee le apni zindagi.” Well, the singer has now been roped in to be the host of Superstar Singer 2.

In a chat with ETimes, Aditya shared, “Being a host has always been an enriching experience for me as it is not only a great medium to connect with the audience but also holds the fort for the entire show; it’s a huge responsibility. The most special part is that you get to witness and learn from some of the most extraordinary talents from across the country.” The singer explained that he is thrilled to be hosting this show because it celebrates the young wonders of the country-- ‘singing ka kal’.

Well, Aditya is sure that season 2 will raise the bar even higher and is quite excited to be a part of it. He went on to add, “Also, this stint brings in a sense of nostalgia because it feels like I’m returning back home. I will be reuniting with the Indian idol finalists who are now the captains of the show.” While Aditya will be winning hearts with his charm, the icons who will be judging the performances are Himesh Reshammiya, Javed Ali and Alka Yagnik. The show will reportedly premiere on television next week.
