Bigg Boss 16: Rahul Vaidya calls Ankit Gupta 'defence lawyer' of Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, feels there's nothing more to him

From the very beginning of Bigg Boss season 16, Ankit Gupta was assumed to be the quiet contestant in the reality show. Over a considerable period of time in the house, the actor continues to stay aloof and just takes interest in matters of fellow contestant Priyanka Chahar Choudhary . Often, host Salman Khan has asked him to step up his game and take a stand in the matter of the house, but in vain. On Tuesday, former Bigg Boss contestant Rahul Vaidya took to Twitter to take a dig at Ankit Gupta, who is best known for his role in Udaariyaan. Calling him the 'defense lawyer’ of Priyanka, the singer opined that he is not Bigg Boss material.

Rahul, who has been the strongest contestant during his time in the Bigg Boss house, tweeted, “He is a good boy but the fact is inka khudka mudda ek bhi nahi hai .. he is just behaving like Priyanka’s Defence lawyer, that’s it. Nothing more to him! Sad. Big boss/makers gave him too many hints but I think he is just not a big boss material.” Soon after his tweet surfaced, the netizens schooled him for his judgment about Ankit. While one user wrote, “Rahul it will be better if u don't talk about ' Bigg Boss material '... atleast he's not crying to leave bb house as of now.” Another commented, “Standing up for your dear ones, does not make you a defence lawyer of your dear ones. Like for once, men should learn from Ankit Gupta. Har insaan alag hota hai and everyone is accepted in BB and more over audience love him. So, stop your judgements.”

Meanwhile, Rahul Vaidya was one of the contenders for Bigg Boss season 14. He reached the finale of the reality show but lost the winner's title to Rubina Dilaik. Currently, four contestants–Shalin Bhanot, Tina Datta, Soundarya Sharma, and Gautam Singh Vig are nominated for eviction from Bigg Boss 16 this week.
