Veteran actor and Youtuber Mukesh Khanna have made some rather strong accusations about ace producer Ekta Kapoor . Khanna has called Ekta the main reason behind the ‘destruction’ of the TV industry. In his recent Youtube video, the actor criticized the content that is currently being showcased on Indian television and particularly blamed Ekta for bringing in a wave of such content.

Talking about the same, Mukesh Khanna was seen saying on his Youtube video that satellite TV has reached its saturation point and that all the serials are just copying each other. Khanna added that the only things that are ruling the roost when it comes to the content on TV that is the Saas-Bahu and Nanad-Bhabhi sporting their extravagant sarees, Lehenga, Jhumkas, and Bindi. The Mahabharat actor added that all the women in these TV shows just have a patent vamp-like expression on their faces.

Mukesh Khanna goes on to say that he had said this a few years ago that the Saas-Bahu content has destroyed the foundation of the TV industry. The Shaktimaan actor specifically blamed Ekta Kapoor’s popular show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi to begin the doom of television. Khanna went on to say that he was happy to read a statement by actor Pankaj Berry who said that the TV industry is somewhere lost amidst the increase in the Saas-Bahu content. The actor said that he had also made a similar statement around 6 years ago.

After this, Mukesh Khanna directly targeted Ekta Kapoor in his video wherein he alleged that she has destroyed the TV industry completely. He further accused her of causing the downfall of the industry wherein once, illustrious shows like Ramayan, Mahabharat, Chandrakanta, and Jasoosi used to air. He further alleged she used her Saas-Bahu content as the main weapon to destroy the television industry.

This is not the first time that Mukesh Khanna hurled brickbats at Ekta Kapoor. He had also heavily criticized her 2008 show Mahabharat alleging that it destroyed the essence of the epic. On the work front, Khanna announced that a big-budget film will soon be made on his cult show Shaktimaan.
