Hunarbaaz: Bharti Singh shoots during pregnancy, calls channel 'chalak' for making three people work at the price of two

Bharti Singh is India’s first pregnant TV show host according to the makers of Hunarbaaz and the actress in a new promo has shared her apprehensions about the returning to shoot post learning about her pregnancy.

The comedian who will be hosting the show with her husband Harsh Limbachiyaa says in the video from her first day of shoot post her pregnancy announcement “Daar lag raha ki iss halat mein aaj first day shoot karnewali hoon lekin, liekin jab sabka pyaar aur sab staff saath mein hai toh phir kisi cheez se darne ki zaroorat nahi hai (I feel sacared to shoot for the first day in this condition but when you have everyone’s love and support and your team by your side then there’s nothing to be afraid of).

Bharti further admitted that her mother tried to scare her by putting all kinds of scary scenarios in her head before she arrived on set for shoot. “Kisi ka hath lag gaya toh, paer phir gaya toh, aiesi shubh kaamnao ke ssath main aayi hoon … yeh mummiyan bohot darati hain yaar (What if someone’s hand hits you, or you slip and fall, with such good wishes I have come to work … these mothers try to scare you a lot).”

Hoping to break old age stereotypes that pregnancy means sitting at home and dropping all work, Bharti said that she’d change her mother’s mindset and that of all the other moms who believe in these old school ideas by being India’s first pregnant anchor.

She further said that she was both terrified and excited about Hunarbaaz which is highly anticipated and joked that the channel is ‘chalak’ making three people working and paying just two, her and Harsh.

Bharti and Harsh have hosted quite a few shows together before including India’s Got Talent and Dance Deewane 3.

Hunarbaaz is a talent hunt where Karan Johar , Parineeti Chopra and Mithun Chakraborty will serve as judges. The show will air on Colors from 22 January.
