Of late, there were rumours of superstar Salman Khan charging a Rs 1000 crore fee for Bigg Boss 16 , and the makers never confirmed the same. The speculation spread like a wildfire on the internet and recently the superstar hilariously quashed it by saying that he would never work if he was paid such a whopping amount.

The Bharat actor was speaking at the launch event for Bigg Boss 16, held in Mumbai Tuesday evening. He said all those reports about his fees are untrue. "Itna mujhe kabhi life mein nahi milega. Itna mil gaya toh kabhi kaam na karo. But there will be a day when I will be paid this amount. If I get paid this amount I have so many other expenses like lawyers that I actually need them. My lawyers are no less than Salman Khan. My earnings are not even one-fourth of it. These reports are read by income tax and ED department too.”

At the press event hosted by Gauhar Khan, Salman also announced Tazakistan performer Abdu Rozik to be the first contestant in the upcoming season of Bigg Boss. However, he also said jokingly that the show is not a kids' show, poking fun at Abdu's height. Well, his participation is yet to be officially confirmed. However, Abdu said he is excited to go inside the house and asked for love and support from people.

Meanwhile, ever since the first promo of the show was unveiled, the excitement around it has increased manifold. This season has all rules changes as Bigg Boss set to play the game. Prominent celebrities from popular TV bahu to social media stars have been roped in to remain locked for a hundred days. Tentative names to become participants include Tina Dutta, Shiv Thakre, Shalin Bhanot, and Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia. The show is set to premiere on October 1 on Colors TV channel. Unlike last season, the show will beam at 10 pm on weekdays.
