Jasmin Bhasin does not want to focus on TV as she bagged Bollywood film with Mahesh Bhatt

Not many know that Jasmin Bhasin started off her career with the Tamil film, Vaanam in 2011. Since then the actress worked in several south films, but it was her television debut with Subhash Chandra’s Tashan-E-Ishq that gave her a much-needed spotlight. With appearances in several other TV reality shows like Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi, she has gained immense popularity among the audience. Now, she is gearing up for her Bollywood debut with ace filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt’s upcoming film.

While talking about her Bollywood debut, Jasmin said that it was like a dream come true for her. The actress revealed that she has a performance-oriented role which is very different from what she has done before. The film will soon go on floors and other details of the film are still kept under wraps. When asked if she has shifted her focus away from television, she said, “As far as TV is concerned, if anything interesting comes my way, I will definitely take it up. Television has made me who I am today; I will never turn my back on it. But as of now, TV is not the focus. I am navigating my way into films and OTT projects and concentrating only on that. I have a very strong feeling that things will work out here (smiles). And TV is my home; I know I can get back to it whenever I want to,” she told Etimes.

Apart from entering the Hindi film industry, Jasmin has forayed into Pollywood with a Punjabi movie titled Honeymoon co-starring Gippy Grewal. The romantic comedy written by Naresh Kathooria is all set for a theatrical release this Diwali on 25th October 2022. She further said that with so many projects already on her plates, she has no plans to do TV anytime soon. “I get a lot of offers, but I don’t want to take up everything that comes my way. I want to choose the right project and give my best to it. Honeymoon has been one such project for me. I am eagerly waiting for it to release,” she added.

Jasmin has also appeared in several music videos namely Tera Suit, Pani Di Gal, Tu Bhi Sataya Jayega, Yaro Sab Dua Karo, and Kya Kar Diya among others. On the personal front, she is dating actor Aly Goni.
