Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10: Karan Johar to be a judge alongside Madhuri Dixit; is Shah Rukh Khan joining them?

Back in April this year when it was reported that dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is returning to television with season 10 after six long years, fans were over the moon with joy. What added to our excitement were rumors about Bollywood’s king Shah Rukh Khan and the gorgeous Kajol being judges alongside choreographer Farah Khan . Well, recently it was revealed that Kajol has declined the offer and now actress Madhuri Dixit , who judged seasons four to seven, has been roped in instead.

Now a report shared by ETimes has also revealed the name of the second judge-- filmmaker and chat show host Karan Johar , who was a part of the judges’ panel in seasons 5,6,7,8 and 9. A source was quoted saying, “It would have been equally exciting to see the exuberant Kajol as a judge, but some things don't go the way you envisage. Kajol is a very close friend of Karan and that would have been a casting coup; their camaraderie would have stood out. But Dixit too has a fairly good equation with Karan and we guess that should suffice.”

The source went on to add, “Anyway, all said and done, we are now looking forward for the drama on 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa' to begin. Two months more to go.” Well, now that we know that Madhuri and KJo are going to be two of the judges, the main question on all our minds is if Shah Rukh will be joining them. We sure hope so! On the film front, the superstar will be making his big Bollywood comeback next year with Pathaan , after which he has Atlee’s Jawan on the way. SRK has also started shooting for Rajkumar Hirani ’s Dunki.

While we are sure fans are heartbroken about Kajol not being on the judges’ panel this year, SRK and Madhuri’s possible reunion is definitely something to look forward to.
