'Never been abusive on sets': TMKOC’s director defends Jennifer Mistry, latter slams Mandar Chandwadkar aka Bhide

The ongoing sexual harassment case involving Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actress Jennifer Mistry aka Mrs Roshan Sodhi is turning murkier day by day. She has made allegations of harassment and humiliation on the makers of the comedy show including producer Asit Modi. In their defense, the producers alleged that Jennifer was extremely unprofessional and abusive on the sets of the show. However, now one of the former directors of the show namely Malav Rajda came out in support of the actress.

Contrary to the allegations of the producers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Malav Rajda said that he never saw Jennifer Mistry misbehave with anyone on the sets while he was working on the show for 14 years. Talking to Etimes, Malav said, “Jennifer is one of the most jovial people on the sets. She is a happy-go-lucky person and gelled well with everyone. Be it the technical team, direction team, DOP, hair and makeup, or the co-stars, she was on good terms with everyone on the sets with everyone. I’ve been on the sets for 14 years, and Jennifer has never misbehaved with anyone ever in front of me. She has never ever been abusive on the sets."

Apart from this, Jennifer Mistry lashed out at her co-star from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Mandar Chandwadkar who plays Bhide on the show. It is because Mandar denied her claims of the sets of the comedy show being male chauvinistic. Jennifer revealed to the same publication that she was all the more upset with Mandar because they shared a good bond while working on the show. She furthermore said that Mandar had called her several times when she was filing the FIR against the makers and asked her to think about her decision. On this, she had strictly said that he should stay away from the whole issue if he cannot support her. For the unversed, before this, Shailesh Lodha who played the former Taarak Mehta on the show had also filed a case against Asit Modi for the non-payment of dues.
