    Comedian Raju Srivastava ’s who has been admitted in Delhi All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for the past one week after suffering a heart attack is said to be in a delicate condition. Raju’s health further deteriorated on Thursday, days after family claimed to have informed through a statement of seeing some improvement in his health.

    The comedian collapsed with running on a treadmill on August 10 after suffering a heart attack. He was rushed to the hospital and remained in a critical condition. According latest reports, Raju’s blood pressure dropped on Wednesday evening but after despite being stabilised, his health further deteriorated. According to his colleague Sunil Pal his brain has now stopped responding and according to a few reports he has been declared brain dead by the doctors at AIIMS.

    An official statement from the family on Raju’s health is still awaited but according to his nephew’s statement to the Times of India, the family is now hoping and praying for a miracle and top neurologist Dr Padma Srivastava has been called from Kolkata to treat him, who will arrive by Thursday evening.

    Furthermore, former minister of Health and Family Welfare, DR. Harsh Vardhan is said to be personally co-ordinating with the team of doctors treating Raju Srivastava and also been keeping the family updated. A few days ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also expressed concern for Raju’s health on social media.

    Sharing an emotional video Sunil Pal asked the fans to pray for Raju’s recovery. He to said that Raju’s health is delicate at the moment.

    Raju Srivastava became a household name after he appeared on the TV reality show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2005 after having done many small roles in films and TV before. He went on to set the stage of the Indian stand-up comedy scene as it exists on TV today along with a few other veteran comedians. He later became politician by joining the ruling Bhartiya Janta Party in 2014.
