Rakhi Sawant on giving up bold outfits for BF Adil: ‘My heart burns when I see another girl wearing a short dress’

Actress and dancer Rakhi Sawant has never been happier. After parting ways with Ritesh, who she was not legally married to but considered to be her husband, she moved on in life. Rakhi found love again this year in businessman Adil Khan Durrani. They are the paparazzo’s favorite couple at the moment and are an absolute hit on social media, because they aren’t afraid to be their quirky, madly in love, selves together. But as some believe, to make relationships work partners need to compromise. For Rakhi, it was sacrificing her bold outfits.

The actress has mentioned a few times that she changed the way she dresses for her beau. Talking about the same in a recent media interaction, Adil explained that he comes from a Muslim background and can’t forsake his religion just to be with Rakhi. He shared, “It's not that religion allows these clothes. There are a lot of restrictions on clothes. Her clothes were not so good earlier, they were more revealing. And today also I am not telling her to wear a hijab or burqa.” Adil went on to state that he did not force or restrict the actress, but only made her understand his point of view. He added, “And she is liking that she is changing it.”

The actress chimed in to say that she will continue to be Rakhi, with or without her bold outfits. However, it does pain her when she sees something she would like to wear, but can’t anymore. Rakhi explained, “It's okay as long as the public is happy. But when I go to Lokhandwala or Dubai for shopping, and I see a short dress, main ro padti hoon ki main tujhe pehen nahi paaungi (I break into tears thinking I can't wear you).” Rakhi went on to add, “My heart burns whenever I see another girl wearing a short dress.”
