Shark Tank India: Ashneer Grover reunites with Skippi Pops founder; calls his business ‘biggest success story’ of the show

There were very few entrepreneurs in the first season of Shark Tank India who successfully impressed all the sharks on the panel with their idea or business. The first ones to make history were founders of Skippi Pops Ice-Pops. Even before the pitch was over, Anupam Mittal made an offer to give them exactly what they want. They got another offer from Ashneer Grover and Namita Thapar who were ready to give Rs 60 Lakhs for 5% equity. In the end, they agreed to a deal of Rs 1 crore for 15% equity with all 5 sharks on board.

Well, Grover recently reunited with founder Ravi Kabra and took to his official social media handle to praise the latter as well as his product. The shark wrote: “Great to catch up with @skippiicepops founder @ravikabra after Shark Tank. Skippi is a great product and probably the biggest success story from @sharktank.india Season 1 with 40X growth in sales !” This is a huge deal especially because it’s coming from Grover, who is well-known for saying things as they are. No sugar-coating!

Kabra also shared the post on his Instagram account, expressing his gratitude. The caption read: “@ashneer.grover it was a pleasure meeting you today!! We are honoured to have you on board as an investor in @skippiicepops I thank you for mentoring me on this journey.”
