Shark Tank India season 2: Vineeta Singh reveals all about Anupam Mittal's obsession with asking pitchers, 'Aapke papaji kya karte hain?'

Shark Tank India season 2 has arrived and is already making news for various interesting pitches. The show which was an instant hit when it debuted on television in 2021 has certainly gone through quite a few changes in the new season. As the ‘sharks’ sat down to talk about season 2 in an interview with Tanmay Bhatt and Rohan Joshi, they dropped hilarious truth bombs about the changes they have witnessed after season 1.

The fans of the show already know that when the ‘sharks’ of Shark Tank India come together, they have the ability to bring the roof down while roasting one another. When asked about the changes that have come about in them as investors, Aman Gupta , the co-founder of boAt, revealed that there has been a lot of changes in the ‘sharks’ from last season and cited Namita Thapar ’s example revealing how the CFO of Emcure Pharmaceuticals now has ‘expertise’ in everything. He further said that he could predict after each pitch what each of the ‘sharks’ will ask.

At this, Sugar Cosmetics founder Vineeta Singh hilariously revealed during the interview about Shaadi.com founder Anupam Mittal ’s obsession with asking the pitchers about their family backdrop. “Anupam ka confirmed sawal hai, ‘Aapke papaji kya karte hain?’,” Vineeta said leaving everyone in splits.

She added, “He’s not even subtle about it, when he says, ‘Main aapko offer de raha hoon, aapka josh, aapka jazba, aapka junoon aur aapki jaidad se main bohot sehmaat hoon’.” Vineeta further added how this would leave the other sharks flabbergasted while Anupam brushed off this observation saying ‘Kuch bhi …’. However, Namita did agree with Vineeta’s observation.

Namita also revealed that among the sharks, she and Aman would actually get bored during the many pitches which went on for an hour and a half each. She said that they were like the collage backbenchers who would gossip, pass chits, play knots and crosses after having made up their mind half way through the pitch while the others collected questions and made notes.

Shark Tank India season 2 airs on Sony TV and Sony LIV from Monday to Friday at 10 PM.
