Shark Tank India: Vineeta Singh got an e-mail with a 'serious concern' about her brand name Sugar: 'Why not chai patti or dudh?'

Shark Tank India has not only helped give a platform to start-up culture in India but it has turned its six entrepreneur judges into overnight celebrities. Apart from the memes and debates at the expense of these ‘sharks’ we have also learnt valuable business lessons from them often with a side of humour.
While humour at the cost of the ‘sharks’ continues to make waves on social media, the most consistent joke has been faced by Vineeta Singh because her brand is named Sugar. Diabetes jokes to memes, Vineeta is sure to have seen it all about her brand name but it was during the promotions of Sahrk tank India on The Kapil Sharma Show, she gave an answer which is sure to knock some sense into people with these silly questions about Sugar Cosmetics.
Vineeta had some months ago shared a screen shot of an e-mail wherein a person with a ‘serious concern’ had asked her why she named her brand Sugar and not some other ingredient used in making tea like ‘chai-patti’ [tea leaves] or ‘dudh’ [milk].
The email addressed to Vineeta read: “My Girlfriend is a very big fan of #SugerCosmetics. But she wants to know that why you named your company as SUGER, But why not CHAI-PATII ???? …. Or DHUDH ???”
While the CEO of Sugar Cosmetics shared the hilarious email on Twitter, a similar query was posed by Kapil Sharma on his show when Vineeta arrived as a guest with the other ‘sharks’ of Shark Tank India. Kapil asked Vineeta, “Jin logon ko sugar hai, unke liye jaggery mein bhi kuch available hai?”
Vineeta Singh then spoke about the email and revealed what she tells everyone who asks her that question, “Ye jo sugar rush milta hai aapko make-up laga ke, without the calories, toh agar aapko sugar hai tab bhi aap Sugar pehen sakte hain.”
Vineeta along with the other ‘sharks’ are touted to return for a second season on Shark Tank India this year.
