Smriti Irani calls Mouni Roy’s husband Suraj Nambiar 'one hell of a lucky man'; read her note for the newlyweds

Actress and politician Smriti Irani took to social media to shower Mouni Roy with love and blessings as the actress tied the knot today with long time boyfriend Suraj Nambiar. The Minister for Women and Child Development looked back at her first meeting with Mouni who started her career acting beside her in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu This, Smriti spoke of Mouni’s wisdom and warmth while sharing pictures from the newlyweds.

Mouni debuted in the popular daily soap as Ganga Tulsi while Smriti Irani played Tulsi Virani. Smriti though her post also called Suraj ‘one hell of a lucky man’ for having Mouni as a life partner.

“This girl came into my life 17 years ago .. they claimed she was a novice then but such was her wisdom that she brought warmth & much joy along with the life lessons she infused amongst those who are lucky to have her as a friend , as family . Today she begins a new journey. May all the Gods be kind and bless her with happiness, prosperity and good health.. for the boy.. well you are one hell of a lucky man .. God bless @nambiar13 .. love you @imouniroy ❤,” read the post.

Mouni shared an equally warm reply to Smriti’s note as she thanked her in the comments of the post. “Such beautiful words.. I’m so grateful for you & your love..love you so much.. missing you here,” Mouni wrote.

Suraj and Mouni got married in a traditional South Indian wedding ceremony in a Goa based resort. The wedding was an intimate affair where the couple was joined by their close friend and family. Later in the day the actress took to social media to share pictures and announce that she is married.

The pre-wedding festivities of the couple commenced on 26 January and celebrities like Arjun Bijlani , Mandira Bedi , Manmeet Singh, Aashka Goradia were in attendance.
