Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Jethalal aka Dilip Joshi talks about Daya Ben’s return; is happy for Disha Vakani

Actress Disha Vakani took a maternity break from her show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah back in 2017. She was soon blessed with a baby girl but did not return to our screens as Daya Ben. It has been 5 long years and fans truly miss the character. Much to our delight, recently producer Asit Kumarr Modi confirmed that makers are now thinking of bringing Daya Ben back, but added that he’s not sure if Disha will play the role. Amidst these reports, fans got another good news. Disha became a mother again as she welcomed her second child, a baby boy, into the world.

Just like fans, Disha’s on-screen husband Dilip Joshi aka Jethalal Champaklal Gada is over the moon with joy for the actress and her family. In a recent chat with ETimes, he shared, “I am happy to know that Disha has become a mother to a baby boy. She is my co-actor and viewers have always enjoyed watching us on the show. I am happy for her and her family.” The two won many hearts as husband and wife on-screen and emerged as one of the most adored and hilarious jodis of television.

Talking about Disha’s return to the show, Dilip stated, “It has been five years since Disha has been on a break from the show. Now, whether she will come back or not, only the production house knows and I would not like to get into it.” However, he went on to add that he’s glad fans are still showering as much love and attention to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah as they did when Daya Ben was a part of the show.

How much do you miss Daya?
