Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Makers of the show call Neha Mehta's accusation of her dues pending to be 'false'

Recently actress Neha Mehta who had become a household name for her portrayal of Anjali Bhabi in the popular comedy show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah had made a surprising revelation. The actress had alleged that she is yet to receive her dues for the last six months ever since she quit the show. However, now the makers of the show have reacted to her allegations and have called them false.

Talking about the same, the makers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah released an official statement wherein they not only called Neha Mehta’s allegations to be false but also revealed that the actress has not completed her exit formalities which are mandatory to settle her final dues. The statement read, “We consider our artist as our family. We have contacted Neha Mehta multiple times to complete the formalities with us. Unfortunately, she has been reluctant to sign the exit documents without which we cannot do a full and final settlement as per company policy. She also stopped responding to all our communication over the past two years and she left the show without meeting us. We wish that she would have replied to our emails instead of making false accusations about the makers, who have given her 12 years of fame and career. We reserve our rights for appropriate action.”

Talking about the allegations by Neha Mehta, in her latest interview with Etimes, the actress had said, “I live a very dignified life and don’t believe in complaining about anything. I acted in Taarak Mehta as Anjali for 12 years before quitting in 2020. The last six months’ money is pending. After I quit the show, I called them a few times regarding my pending dues. I don’t like complaining… hopefully, there will be a solution soon and I will get my hard-earned money.” Neha quit Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in the year 2020 and was replaced by Sunayna Fozdar .
