Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Shailesh Lodha has decided to quit the comedy show?

In what can come as heartbreaking news for all the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fans out there, Shailesh Lodha who plays Taarak on the show is reportedly going to bid adieu to the show. Yes, you heard that right! fans might not see the beloved narrator and Jethalal ( Dilip Joshi )’s best friend on the show anymore. Earlier, Neha Mehta who played Shailesh’s onscreen wife aka Anjali Bhabhi on the show was also in the news to quit the same.

According to a news report in Etimes, Shailesh Lodha has now come to a steadfast decision to quit Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. A source close to the show has revealed to the publication that the writer-actor has not been shooting for the same for the past one month. The source further mentioned that Shailesh has no plans to return to the show now.

The reason behind the same has been reported to be Shailesh Lodha not being happy with his contract with the show and the manner in which his dates are being utilized. The poet-actor is furthermore not getting any adequate chance to explore other professional opportunities. The report mentioned that Shailesh had to turn down many lucrative offers because of his commitment to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and does not want this to repeat now.

The report went on to add that the makers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah tried to convince Shailesh Lodha to change his mind but it seems that the latter is in no mood to listen. Well, if this piece of news is indeed true, Shailesh’s absence will surely leave a huge void on the show, considering he has an integral part to play in the same. Fans have also been asking the actor to clarify the same on his social media handle and are inevitably upset with this development.
