Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Shailesh Lodha has THIS to say about his sudden exit from show

Ever since Taarak Mehta aka Shailesh Lodha made a sudden exit from the popular sitcom Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah, the actor has maintained a stoic silence. Recently, he was asked to divulge details as to why he left the show of which he has been part since its inception. To which the actor gave a reaction which will certainly raise your eyebrows.

During the launch event of his upcoming poetry show, Waah Bhai Waah , the actor was quizzed about the reason behind his exit from the popular show after 14 years. To which the actor politely refused to answer and said, "Aaj hum yahan Waah Bhai Waah Ke liye hain toh Sirf uski he baatein karte hain." (Today, we are here for Waah Bhai Waah, so will about it only). To note, the actor played the iconic character of Taarak Mehta, who was also the narrator of the show.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been the longest-running TV show. Earlier Dayaben aka Disha Vakani had left the show, which left fans disappointed. In a recent development, the show producer Asit Kumarr Modi revealed that he has been literally ‘abused’ by fans on social media over Dayaben’s character exit. He also said that the return of Disha seems impossible, hence the team is looking for her replacement.

"Ab yeh story ka mamla hai (It is a matter of the story). We are working everything out, but it will take some time. I agree that people are literally abusing us as people are emotionally attached to the show. I do think about the fans who comment online and respect their views. Daya bhabhi aayegi. While we would definitely want Disha (Vakani) to come back as Daya, we are simultaneously also auditioning for the character. If she comes back, it will be very good as she is like family. But since her return doesn't seem to be possible, we are auditioning for a replacement," he told Etimes.
