The team of Jersey recently reached the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show to promote their upcoming film. Shahid Kapoor , Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur had a gala time interacting with the comedians and also spoke about their sports drama, which is the Hindi remake of a Telugu film of the same name. Kapil gave the stars a warm welcome and was left in awe of veteran actor Pankaj. He even joked that Shahid is standing like a school kid whose father came to the parent teacher meeting unannounced.

Well, during the episode, comedian Chandan Prabhakar aka Chandu came on stage riding a bike dressed like Shahid’s popular character Kabir Singh. Behind him was a male co-star dressed as Preeti, which was the character played by Kiara Advani in the film. When Chandan introduced himself as Kabir Singh, Kapil asked, “Kaun, Fakeer Singh?” Chandu joked that a Punjabi remake of the film is being made titled ‘Jageer Singh’ in which he’s playing the male lead. When Kapil asked him if he thinks he looks like Shahid, Chandan replied, “Yaar original aur first copy mein thoda toh farak hota hai ki nahi.”

Kapil hilariously hit back, “Tu first copy nahi, tu worst copy hai!” This left the actors as well as Archana Puran Singh in splits. Chandan then told Pankaj that he’s a method actor and wants the latter’s blessings. Kapil joked that once Chandan got a role as a rickshaw puller and to prepare he went to stay with a rickshaw driver. But when he was called for shoot at 9am, Chandan told the filmmaker that he has to drop two customers off at 10.

If you haven’t watched the episode yet, go see it now! Chandan and Kapil’s chemistry is as flawless as their comic timing.
