The Kapil Sharma Show written updates: Superstar Singer 2 judges audition in front of Kapil Sharma, Archana Puran Singh

The Kapil Sharma Show is the biggest and the most entertaining platform which any show or film can be promoted on. The cast of the reality show Superstar Singer 2 which is all set to arrive on Sony TV soon, arrived on the comedian’s show to give the audience glimpse of what they can expect from this singing reality show and in turn had a gala time laughing at the acts put up to keep them entertained.

Here are the key updates from the Superstar Singer 2 episode of The Kapil Sharma Show which aired on Sunday, April 10.

Kapil Sharma and Archana Puran Singh gave the episode a rather unconventional start. They turned judges for a make believe singing reality show on which Himesh Reshammiya, Javed Ali and Alka Yagnik, the judges of Superstar Singer 2, arrived as contestants and performed. While Himesh gave a smashing performance to ‘Ashiqi Mein Teri,’ Archana Puran Singh judged his performance Himmesh style and said ‘Mujhe tumhare ghar mein roti chaiye’ passing him in the audition.

Next arrived singer Javed Ali, who according to Kapil Sharma, gave an ‘out of syllabus’ performance singing ‘Tum Tak’. Kapil joked both him and Archana don’t have the talent to judge the calibre of performance he gave. Archana, however, insisted in only passing Javed if he has brought some delicacies for her from Delhi.

What Javed couldn’t do for Archana, singer Alka Yagni did. She arrived and told Archana she has sweets from Kolkata for her backstage and passed without an audition.

After the judges were seated, Kapil spoke to the trio about the show. He applauded Himmesh Reshamiya for his fitness and joked that the singer is always half an inch less every time he meets him. Himesh in turn joked about the reason for his extreme fitness and said that things are different at home since he got married and he has no option but to keep fit.

Javed Ali was congratulated by Kapil on the success of his song Shivali from Pusha. The singer then shared the back story of the song and revealed how had gone to Chennai to record for renowned music composer, Ilaiyaraaja and wanted to prioritise that commitment when the DSP aprroched him for Shivali. He was in the hotel waiting for a call from Ilaiyaraaja but instead ended up recording the song for Pusha first.

Kapil also pulled singer Alka Yagnik’s leg over Udit Narayan ’s fondness of her. Himesh Reshammiya asked Alka if Udit Narayan was as naughty around her since they first recorded together for Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak . The singer said that initially Udit Narayan was very shy but he became more himself after he gained popularity as a singer.

Aditya Nayaran who will be hosting Superstar Singer 2 then joined the judges on stage. Kapil congratulated the host on becoming a father, the comedian further joked that since Udit Narayan couldn’t be there himself by Alka’s side so he sent Aditya.

Kapil asked Aditya if all the compliments he shower on Alka on their show are his own ideas or whether he gets any notes at home from his father. Aditya clapped back that he does get notes but he only uses lines which he can use on national TV.

The captains from Superstar Singer 2 – Salman Ali, Pawandeep Rajan, Md. Danish, Arunita Kanjilal and Sayali Kamble also joined the show and performed to ‘Tera Bina’ from the film Guru together.

The cast collectively then looked at the hilarious comments on their Instagram posts and had a good laugh. While a few contestants from Superstar Singer 2 then spilled the magic of their voice on the show leaving Kapil impressed.
