TKSS: Raveena Tandon had told Farah Khan ‘tu maa ki a***h mat karna iss gaane ki’ for Tip Tip Barsa Pani remix

Raveena Tandon, with her orange saree and dancing in the rain to Tip Tip Barsa Pani would be etched in the memory of every Indian. She redefined sultry and seduction in the song. Naturally, when this song was remade with Katrina Kaif for Sooryavanshi , many were not quite happy. It was like playing with memories, and even though Katrina Kaif looked gorgeous as always, many felt that she can never be a match to what Raveena Tandon did to the song. Now, in her recent appearance in the Kapil Sharma Show, choreographer Farah Khan revealed what Raveena had told her when she informed her that a remix of the song is going to be made.

In the show, while talking to Kapil Sharma, Farah revealed, "Yeh mereko phone kar kar ke bolti thi, ‘Tu maa ki a***h mat karna iss gaane ki’ (She would keep calling and telling me not to mess it up).” She further added that Raveena was happy with the outcome and had told her, “Faru, you have done a superb job and Katrina is looking superb.”

Raveena jokingly even said that the praise was not genuine, but then on a serious note, she felt that Farah had actually done a wonderful job and added, “Lekin mujhe itna bharosa tha ki agar koi aur karta na gaana, I think waakeyi mein uska dahi batata ho gaya hota. But Farah ke haath mein tha toh I knew that woh respect aur grace toh zaroor rahega (I was sure that if someone else was doing the song, they would surely mess it up, but I was confident that Farah would keep the respect and grace intact).”

Are you one of those who liked the remix, or the one whose heart lies in the original?
