Tunisha Sharma's show Ali Baba: Daastan-E-Kabul resumes shooting on sets where she died, location gets a puja done with fresh paints

Actress Tunisha Sharma committed suicide in one of the makeup rooms of the sets of her TV show, Ali Baba: Daastan-E-Kabul, an incident that shocked the entire TV fraternity. Her co-star and ex-boyfriend Sheezan Khan was arrested for an alleged abetment to suicide. Now, Sayantani Ghosh who plays the main antagonist in the show has revealed that the shooting has resumed in the same set where the 20-year-old actress had taken her life.

The actress revealed that a Puja has been performed on the sets of the Ali Baba: Daastan-E-Kabul and the location has also been freshly painted. Sayantani told Times Of India, “Location mein hum ko bohot compromise karke chalna padd raha tha (we had to compromise a lot regarding the location). The production house has taken every measure possible to make us feel comfortable- and create an atmosphere of positivity. They have freshly painted the set in white, added more lights and hung new paintings. They opened the set yesterday and performed a puja.”

However, the Mahabharat actress went on to say that the police officials have seized Tunisha Sharma’s makeup room since her death is still being investigated. Apart from that, Sheezan’s makeup room has also been cordoned off. Sayantani Ghosh had shared some emotional posts with Tunisha after the actress’ tragic passing last month.

Meanwhile, talking about the case, Sheezan Khan’s bail plea was rejected by Maharashtra’s Palghar district court on Friday (January 13). The actor’s lawyers Shailendra Mishra and Sharad Rai will move to the Bombay High Court to oppose the ruling. The counsel who denied Khan the bail were quoted to say, “In my considered opinion Tunisha's break-up is an admitted position. The next day she got a panic attack. She was upset after that. After the attack and on the day of the incident (December 24) she was last seen in CCTV footage with Sheezan. Hence, in my considered opinion I am rejecting the bail plea.” It has also been reported that Abhishek Nigam has replaced Sheezan as the lead in Ali Baba: Daastan-E-Kabul.
