‘Want to lead my own path’: Karan Kundrra reveals his TV comeback with Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal was questioned

The very handsome Karan Kundrra became an instant heartthrob when he made his acting debut on television with Kitani Mohabbat Hai. He went on to emerge as a household name and later experimented with hosting shows and even made his debut in films. In fact, he made quite a mark with his performance in films like Mubarakan and Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare. Karan even participated in Bigg Boss 15 as a contestant. Well, last month, the handsome hunk made his much awaited comeback to television shows with the new supernatural thriller series Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal .

Karan’s fans were over the moon with joy and couldn’t get enough of his bad boy character Veer Oberoi, who is a 122 year old werewolf on the show. But the actor has now revealed that there were some people who questioned his decision to return to television before Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal. Talking to Zoom TV Digital, Karan revealed, “There were times when my films were doing well, people said why do you want to go back to television? I said why not? OTT is doing super well, why do you want to do this, you should stick to this, etc.”

But Karan prefers keeping his choices away from the ‘stereotypical paths’. He wants to experiment and win the audience over with his versatility, by creating his very own path. The actor explained, “People who follow a path, are not leaders, I want to lead my own path - good, bad, successful, I don't care.” Well, we can all agree that this decision is working in his favour because fans are truly enjoying watching him as a ‘bhediya’ on his new show. Also starring Gashmeer Mahajani and Reem Shaikh in the lead, Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal is a Hindi adaptation of The Vampire Diaries. Up next, Karan will soon reunite with his doting girlfriend Tejasswi Prakash in an upcoming music video.
