It was a pleasant surprise for fans when actress Akanksha Puri decided to enter singer Mika Singh ’s Swayamvar show Mika Di Vohti as a wildcard contestant. The two have been friends for over 13 long years and share great chemistry. Rumors earlier even suggested that they were dating but the two remained tight-lipped about it. Well, Akanksha finally confessed her feelings for the singer on the show and in the end he chose her over finalists Prantika Das and Neet Mahal to be his wife.

In a recent chat with ETimes, Akanksha was quoted saying, “My journey with him has been most comfortable till now. He gives me comfort in more than one way. He is my happy space and will always be.” When asked if she was hesitant before doing the show, the actress replied, “I definitely was aware that I will have to face a lot of questions and allegations but this was about my personal life and the most important decision of my life. So, I didn’t take it like any other professional decision. I am proud of my decision.”

The actress, who has been single for a while, is excited about painting the town red with her and Mika’s love story. She plans to go all out! Well, post the finale, the two love birds were spotted at a romantic dinner date last night. While Mika opted for a black suit, his bride to be Akanksha looked pretty in a shimmery pink mini dress with a plunging neckline.
