Thirudan Police, comedy entertainer is directed by debutant Caarthick Raju and produced by SP Charan & J.Selvakumar. Dinesh & Iyshwarya Rajesh are the lead actors along with Rajesh, Aadukalam Naren, John Vijay & Naan Kadavul Rajendran playing in vital roles. Dinesh is fresh from success and fame of Cuckoo, so let's see what this new next door boy of Tamil cinema offers as in Thirudan Police.

The film is all about Vishwa (Dinesh) and his relationship with his father (Rajesh). Vishwa's father is a good & honest police constable where as Vishwa is ruggy and doesn't like his father due to his long advices and hates him, a typical local boy. Vishwa's father killed in an encounter sequence, now Vishwa has become a police constable and has to fill in a good and honest policeman shoes. This makes him to understand about his father and when he gets to know that his father was killed in a planned encounter, he takes revenge. But there comes the twist to this story line.

Unexpected and funny climax cracks this rotten fruit into to a delight. Note, it's only the last 30 minutes and that too if you like a typical funny commercial track. Iyshwarya Rajesh plays the Dinesh's love interest and shows her face for couple of songs and very few scenes. Naan Kadavul Rajendran and John Vijay did an excellent job and carried out their characters well. Dinesh fits into this story line perfectly and done a good job too.

Director Caarthick Raju should be given credit for the climax but the overall story line is so predictable and nothing new, given his best for a comedy entertainer. Yuvan Shankar Raja is still a big name in music industry but his recent outings are not that much worthy and this film is also no exceptional to it. Yuvan haven't scored in songs as well as BGM's. Overall, Thirudan Police is predictable and one time watch..!!
