Just before I started watching the movie, a good friend of mine subtly warned me to rip off my critic mask and enjoy the film. He was so right. Trisha Ellana Nayanthara has been given an A certificate so it has all the elements you look forward in an A film. Babes, booze, love, "matter", break up, again love and the cycle continues. There is nothing more or nothing less than this. Boys will enjoy the film, some girls might too. *conditions apply*
TIN is something every boy or even a girl can relate themselves to the film. Some might have seen a bit more or less but one can definitely take a page or two from the movie and think "correct da macha". The director does not give you the pain to think what the story could be. In the opening scene, three women are having delivery pains and 3 babies are born. One boy and two girls. You understand 90% of the movie right there. After that its all about waiting for those scenes which got this film an A certificate with big eyes.
A boy falls in love with a girl. Very clichéd opening line but you have to stay with me on this. They do half "matter" in the heat of the moment. Teenage issues, you see. This "matter" incident gets leaked in the school and girl breaks up with the boy because he broke her trust. Without wasting even a min, he falls in love with another girl. This love goes on for 3 years. One day, even this love breaks because this time he didn't do "matter". Dejected boy leaves to his uncle's place and he sees the first girl here and falls in love again. What happens next is the rest of the story and there is a twist in the climax.
Script and screenplay were ok as there is nothing much to think. There were some really fun moments, which will make you rofl. Cinematography and editing were just fine. Music by GVP was again a highlight and bittu padam di song made the audience go crazy. There were not many dull moments in the film but since its way too predictable, I felt a bit less interesting after a point.
Am very impressed with GVP as an actor. I had very less expectations on him but he is a good performer. The expressions are flowing quite naturally for him. There was not a single scene where I felt he is just 2 movies old. Anandhi, you beauty! She has this standard smile throughout the movie and swears a bit here and there. Manisha is used a glam doll and she hardly wears a dress. VTV Ganesh brings the roof down with his one liners and he has done a full fledged comedy role this time.
Overall, TIN is a light hearted entertainer. Definitely not for the family audience and kids. Boys will have fun. So have fun!
