    Verdict - MUST WATCH

    VisaranaiWatch trailerRelease date : February 05, 2016

There are films that are bold, that are riveting, that are hard hitting. Visaranai is all the above. One of the most expected films of 2016, the makers made a smart move to screen this film in film festivals before releasing in theatres and that gave a great buzz about this film. This is Vetrimaran's third film as a director in his 10years in Tamil Cinema. This shows the dedication level and detailing efforts he take to do a film.

Visaranai speaks about the unspoken part of the police system and its consequences. Having made this from a novel called " Lock Up " which was a result of a true life event, Visaranai is so very realistic.

The first half of the movie leaves a lump in our throat with its hard hitting scenes and the performers seem to live rather than to act. The second half of the movie has cinematic elements but sticks to the plot throughout without commercialising it.

One needs guts to take such a plot in hands, make it in an unconventional way and still plese the audience to the fullest. Kudos to Vetrimaran for making such a film that opens up a huge debate on the police system and equally adds value as a film.

Credits to the actors, Dinesh, Aadukalam Murugadoss, Samuthirakani, and other artists who are at their best and have risked for such a product that we feel proud of. Though there are no songs in this film, GvPrakash has understood the subject well, took it to heart and has delivered what exactly has to be given. Cuts are razor sharp and the runtime is a major plus. Congrats to Dhanush for bankrolling this film and here he has a winner.

On the whole, Visaranai is an unconventional film that deserves a MUST WATCH.
