Gunjan Saxena Trailer: Tweeps Call Janhvi Kapoor's Acting 'Dull' & 'Expressionless' Say The Story Deserves Someone Better

Janhvi Kapoor's Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl is all set to release on Netflix on August 12. The trailer of the film featuring the actress as India’s first female air force pilot who fought in the Kargil war, dropped today and is now receiving flak on social media.

While fans have all the respect for the real life brave heart, many are calling out the film for casting Janhvi as Gunjan Saxena calling her acting as seen in the trailer ‘dull’ and ‘expressionless’ while stating that former air force officer deserved better.

In a series of tweets, some also called for a boycott of Gunjan Saxena the film in the ongoing nepotism row especially since it has been produced by Karan Johar who has been on the nepotism radar for a while now. Since the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, many star kids have been targeted by angry fans who feel outsiders are sidelined in the industry, the trailer of Gunjan Saxena dropping today has put a target on Janhvi’s back too.

Gunjan Saxena is Janhvi’s second feature film after Dhadak post which she starred in Ghost Stories on Netflix.
