Kajol has been one of those actresses who have managed to stay relevant in an industry like Bollywood for decades now. The actress had married Ajay Devgn at the young age of 24 and continued to rule the industry even after that, quashing the notion that marriage is like the end of an actress' career. Now, she is gearing up for a debut- that on the webspace. Now, while promoting Tribhanga, Kajol has opened up about how her father was against her wedding at such a young age.

Talking to Mid Day, she revealed, "My father [Shomu Mukherjee] was against me getting married at 24. He said that I should work more before I tie the knot. My mom [Tanuja] was my biggest supporter and told me to go with my gut. I have been lucky that everybody around has always stood up for me. So, I did exactly what I wanted to do. I didn't have to face patriarchy. Or maybe I faced it without realising because I can be oblivious in some situations."

She has had the umbrella of two strong women above her- her grandmother and her mother and now, she hopes to pass on the strength and the power to think independently to her daughter Nysa too. She would be seen playing a strong woman character in Tribhanga.
