Director Tigmanshu Dhulia is coming up with his next Yaara which stars Vidyut Jamwal, Shruti Haasan and Amit Sadh! The film that was canned for a long time will finally see the light of day online but the director of the film is not quite happy about the film being released on OTT.
Speaking to Mid-Day filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia stated that the film was made on a big scale with varied shooting locations across the world. He has been quoted by the portal as saying, "Only the producer can answer why the film was stuck all this while. I believe we have no option but to release our films on OTT platforms amid the pandemic. I am thrilled that people will be able to watch this film finally. Despite the delay, it will not look dated because the story is set in a certain period."

Yaara is an official adaptation of the 2011 French film, Les Lyonnais and it chronicles the story of four friends who take to the world of organised crime. Even though many big films are gearing up for an OTT release with the theatres not opening anytime soon, Tigmanshu wanted his film to hit the silver screen. He has been further quoted by the portal as saying, "I feel bad [about the direct-to-web release] of Yaara because it was made for a theatrical release. It is not a concept-driven film. It was mounted on a big scale and shot across nine locations, including Bhopal, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Mumbai, Dehradun, Kathmandu and Romania."
He further went on to state that films made for the big screen are written differently and an OTT film has a different approach in terms of its grammar. He stated he would have made Yaara differently because OTT is a mix of films and television and therefore the writing, the blocking of scenes and the treatment of the film too would have had a drastic change.
