IPL 2024 - Shimron Hetmyer smashes 106m SIX, his expression goes viral

Match 50 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) witnessed the crowd at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium awestruck as Shimron Hetmyer smashed a mammoth 106m maximum in the 17.1st over bowled by T Natarajan. Although the pacer had the last laugh by dismissing him, the six certainly grabbed everyone's attention.

To hit the six, Hetmyer shimmied down and launched the ball over long-on for a clean six. Even he couldn't believe it as he sat down, visibly shocked to see it soar high. Fans echoed his astonishment on X (formerly known as Twitter).

As of writing this article, 19 overs were completed, and RR scored 189 runs while losing six wickets. Rajasthan Royals need 13 runs in 6 balls. Currently, Rovman Powell and Ravichandran Ashwin are at the crease, but the task is getting tougher.
