Abhishek Bachchan pokes fun at Ranbir Kapoor's priority for football over marriage

Actor Abhishek Bachchan was recently involved in friendly banter with newly married Ranbir Kapoor on the sidelines of the Celebrity Football Cup 2022 match in Dubai. The actor pointed out that Ranbir has All Stars Football Club (ASFC) as his priority even when he just tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend and actor Alia Bhatt .
While speaking to Bollywood Hungama , Ranbir called ASFC, one of the most important parts of his life. "We are really happy to be here. This also happens to be ASFC's 10th-year anniversary. This is probably the most, one of the most important things that I have been a part of. The kind of friends I made, the kind of teammates, the brotherhood we have had." At this point, Abhishek interrupted the Rockstar actor and teased him saying, “Which is so touching considering he just got married.” Following this Ranbir happily nodded his head and continued his statement.

For the unversed, Ranbir got married to Alia in an intimate wedding in his Mumbai’s Bandra house Vastu on April 14. Soon after the wedding, both the actors resumed their work. While Alia got busy shooting her upcoming Karan Johar ’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Ranveer Singh , Ranbir returned to shooting Sandeep Reddy Vanga ’s Animal alongside Rashmika Mandanna . And now, Ranbir is in Dubai for the football match against Emirates United. He was busy filming Animal until a few hours before he boarded the flight.
ASFC, founded by filmmaker Bunty Walia, has Abhishek as captain and Ranbir as vice-captain. Kartik Aaryan is also part of the match. Ranbir and Abhishek also revealed that they had to convince him a lot to take a break from his upcoming film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 promotions to travel to Dubai for the match.
Besides them, ASFC also has Dino Morea, Shoojit Sircar , Aparshakti Khurrana among its members. The players are Karan Wahi , Abhimanyu Dassani, Shashank Khaitan , Shoojit Sircar, Samir Kochhar, and Shabir Ahluwalia.
