Bollywood ace filmmaker Karan Johar , who is quite active on social media, has officially deactivated his Twitter account minutes after sharing his last tweet. "Making space for more positive energies only and this is step one towards that. Goodbye Twitter! (sic)," read his last post on the platform. Soon after his fans expressed concern while the eagle-eye trollers swamped the comment section to slam the filmmaker.
While one of the Twitter users wrote, “#KaranJohar quit Twitter? Not enough, he must quit India.” Another stated, “With fake PR and propaganda, you make Twitter a negative space. Then quit by saying, "I want positive energy..." Hypocrisy at level best!” Another added, “#KaranJohar The Producer of World's No.1 Movie left the twitter in search of some positivity... But Dude, Why didn't you leave Insta ???, sic.” Several others have started meme fest on Twitter after the filmmaker deleted Twitter. Check the posts here:

But I know well that he will come back to #Twitter before the release of his next directorial film.😁
Post the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, Karan received flak on social media because of nepotism in Bollywood. Prior to him, celebrities like Sonakshi Sinha, Aayush Sharma, Zaheer Iqbal, and director Shashank Khaitan among others had bid adieu to Twitter due to ‘toxic’ environment.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Karan is geared up for the release of his next directorial Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in February next year.
