Actor Akshay Kumar , who has the maximum number of projects in his kitty, is delivering back-to-back flops. After Sooryavanshi, his movies Bell Bottom, Bachchhan Paandey, Samrat Prithviraj, and Raksha Bandhan , the actor has witnessed a freefall in theatres. As of now, the actor is gearing up his next Cuttputli and decided to release it directly on the OTT platform Disney+Hotstar.
Sharing the teaser, Akshay wrote, “Yeh khel power ka nahi, mind ka hai. Aur is mind game mein aap aur main…sab #Cuttputlli hain. Dropping on @DisneyPlusHS, 2nd September. Trailer out tomorrow.” The short clip shows a series of still from the crime thriller featuring Akshay in a cop avatar. He can be seen on a mission to hunt a serial killer. Have a look:

As soon as the teaser of Akshay’s next dropped, the netizens were quick to troll the actor in the comment section. One of the users wrote, “Does this man ever take a break.” While another commented, “Saal me 4 film se ab har mahine 1 film (not four movies per year, he's releasing a film every month).”
Speaking of Cuttputli, the upcoming crime thriller is the official remake of the 2018 film Ratsasan. The story revolves around a psycho killer who traps young girls and makes them his victims and yet is able to flee from the law. Directed by Ranjit M Tiwari, the film also stars Rakul Preet Singh . Produced by Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh under their family banner Pooja Entertainment, the film is scheduled to stream from September 2.
Besides Cuttputli, Akshay has an array of projects lined up including Ram Setu, Selfie, Oh My God 2, Capsule Gill, and an untitled remake of Soorarai Pottru remake. He also has some unannounced films which are yet to go on floors.
