Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar was all set to make his debut on the red carpet of the 75thCannes Film Festival this year. But just a few days before he was supposed to leave for France, the actor tested positive for novel coronavirus. He shared the news with fans on social media. His tweet read: “Was really looking forward to rooting for our cinema at the India Pavilion at #Cannes2022, but have sadly tested positive for Covid. Will rest it out. Loads of best wishes to you and your entire team, @ianuragthakur. Will really miss being there.”

Akshay Kumar tests positive for COVID-19 again; is heartbroken about missing Cannes 2022
Well, it seems like the actor has now recovered after resting for over a week. Akshay was snapped out and about in the city today. He even obliged the paparazzi by posing for their cameras. While the superstar looked a little weak, it was a delight to see him back in action. He looked casual yet cool in a black collared sweatshirt paired with matching tracks and stylish sunglasses. Akshay folded his fans as he bid adieu to the media before leaving.
On the work front, the superstar is gearing up for the release of his next film, Prithviraj . While he is headlining the historical action drama as fearless King Prithviraj Chauhan, the gorgeous Manushi Chhillar will be making her Bollywood debut opposite him as Sanyogita. Also starring Sonu Sood and Sanjay Dutt , the film will arrive in theatres on 3rdJune. We hope Akshay takes some more rest before he dives back into promotions with Manushi.
