Big B coming as superhero: Netizens confuse Sylvester Stallone with Amitabh Bachchan in Samaritan trailer

Is Amitabh Bachchan coming as a superhero in Samaritan ? asked a fan as Amazon Prime Video dropped the first look poster of the Hollywood sci-fi movie, Samaritan earlier this month. The netizens confused Big B with Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone , who will actually star as a superhero in Samaritan. Several internet users found the actor’s striking resemblance to the Hollywood actor, even in its trailer that was unveiled on Wednesday.

In the upcoming movie, Stallone plays superhero-in hiding, who is working as a garbageman named Joe Smith. In the trailer, a teenager Cleary decides to bring out Samaritan back to save the city. The 76-year-old has donned an action-hero avatar and his stature and wrinkled face seemingly resemble that of Bachchan to fans. Earlier, the first look poster showed Stallone walking in rain in a puddle of ground having a reflection of him as a superhero Samaritan. As soon as the poster surfaced, one of the users commented, “He looks like amitabh bacchan." Another user assumed Stallone as Bachchan and commented, “It's good to see @amitabhbachchan in this role(fire emoji).” "For the first 5 min, I thought he was BIG B then I read Sylvester Stallone," added another. Meanwhile, Big B was last seen in Ajay Devgn’s directorial Runway 34. He will next be seen in the family drama, GoodBye, alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Neena Gupta. The first look poster of the film was unveiled a few days ago. Besides it, he also has Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra co-starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy. He recently wrapped up Sooraj Barjatya’s Uunchai in which he will be seen alongside Boman Irani, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Sarika, and Parineeti Chopra. He also has Project K with Prabhas and Deepika Padukone and The Intern again with Deepika in the pipeline.
