Nushrratt Bharuccha remembers her family’s reaction to Chhote Chhote Peg; says ‘it was easy for them to get over it’

Bollywood actress Nushrratt Bharuccha is currently busy riding high on the success of her recently released film Chhorii. The story-line is gripping and her performance has been lauded by critics as well as fans. Well, she is a versatile actress and there is no doubt in that. But another reason that Nushrratt is a fan favorite is her fashion sense. She does not shy away from exploring different forms of fashion and proof of the same are the killer outfits she dons every now and then. Remember the track Chhote Chhote Peg from her film Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety?

Well, in a recent chat with RJ Siddharth Kannan, Nushrratt revealed how her mother, father and grandmother reacted to her pink thigh-high-slit skirt and matching bralette. After watching the music video the day it came out, they looked at her and asked if it was a bra that she was wearing. To this, Nushrratt replied, “It’s a bralette. There’s a term for it, it’s a styling term. People wear it.” She explained, “Of course, they were a little taken aback, like, ‘Yeh kya hai (What is this)?’ It worked for the song, it worked for me, it looked nice, everybody spoke about it well, it became a hit.”

Nushrratt went on to add, “I think what happened was, they kind of understood there is a reason why certain things are done for a certain theme. Matlab agar iss gaane mein yeh hai toh yeh hai (If this is the demand of the song, this is how it is). It doesn’t take away from who I am. I have not fallen in any way so it was easy for them to get over it.”

Well, as long as one has their family’s support, there’s nothing they can’t achieve!
