Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal jet off for their pre-wedding festivities; fan jokes ‘Bholi punjaban vs kaptaan’

One of the most awaited Bollywood shaadi’s of the year, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal ’s wedding is finally happening! The couple had originally planned to tie the knot in 2020, but had to delay their plans due to the coronavirus pandemic. Earlier this month, the actress took to her official social media handle to drop a major hint! Along with a GIF which said ‘New Life Loading’, Richa tweeted: “Can't wait for October...🥰” Well, the preparations have now begun!

As we reported a few weeks ago, their pre-wedding festivities will begin from 30th September at the Delhi Gymkhana. Earlier today, right on schedule, Richa and Ali jetted off to the national capital. They were spotted at the airport where they obliged the paparazzi with pictures. While bride-to-be Richa was glowing in a yellow suit, her hair colored red, her groom Ali opted for a navy blue formal jacket paired with beige pants and a red cap on his head.

In the comment section of this video, fans cracked funny jokes with reference to their film Fukrey . While one netizen wrote: “bholi punjaban 🤣 @fukravarun ko dhoka de rhi h dekho 😂”, another comment read: “Bholi punjaban vs kaptaan.😂” This is because the actors fell in love on the sets of Fukrey, their first film together, in which Richa’s character Bholi Punjaban calls Ali ‘kaptaan’ (captain). Also, in the film, we witnessed a ‘will they, won’t they’ vibe between Varun Sharma aka Choocha and Bholi Punjaban. Hence, the joke about a ‘dhoka’.

Well, Ali and Richa will reportedly return to Mumbai a few days later and tie the knot at a bungalow on 6th October. We are eagerly waiting for pictures!
