Shehnaaz Gill passes on the title of 'Punjab Ki Katrina Kaif' to actress after marrying Vicky Kaushal; here's her new title

Shehnaaz Gill has given herself a promotion from the previously bestowed title upon her ‘Punjab’s Katrina Kaif ’. The singer and actress said that she is now, ‘India’s Shehnaaz Gill’ and passed on the mantle of ‘Punjab’s Katrina Kaif’ to Katrina herself.

Yashraj Mukhate and Shehnaaz recently collaborated for a fun short song that are the composer’s specialty called ‘Such a boring day’, after he previously made a song ‘tuada kutta Tommy’ based on her banter in the Bigg Boss 13 house. It was in a conversation with him that Shehnaaz was seen talking about how Katrina Kaif is now in reality ‘Punjab’s Katrina Kaif’.

Shehnaaz had gained nationwide attention Bigg Boss 13 for introduction herself as ‘Punjab ki Katrina Kaif’ to Salman Khan . She revealed to Yashraj the back story to this title. In the video shared on YouTube she says, "When my mother used to go to parlours when I was a child, they used to tell her 'Oh your daughter looks like Katrina'."

She further said, "But now I have become India's Shehnaaz Gill and Katrina Kaif has become Punjab's Katrina Kaif. Do you know how?" Explaining she added, "She has married Vicky Kaushal and where is he from?" Yashraj answered correctly that Vicky is from Punjab and Shehnaaz added, "So she will be Punjab's Katrina na? So I'm India's Shehnaaz Gill."

Shehnaaz has become a household name after her Bigg Boss stint and has a loyal fanbase of millions who vocally show their love and support for her social media.

In the video, Shehnaaz and Yashraj also spoke about her USP and said hers is ‘talking’. She was also asked if she was ever given opportunity to star in a Disney movie would she do it? Blushing the actress told Yashraj ‘Tere mooh mein dahi shakar’. Apart from this, the bubbly actress also said she’s great at giving life advice and imparted some spiritual knowledge in a mock Ted Talk.
