'Then they ask why people want to boycott Bollywood?' : Vivek Agnihotri takes a sharp dig at Richa Chadha's tweet on Indian army

Actress Richa Chadha bore the brunt of angry netizens after her latest tweet on the Indian armed forces didn’t go down well with many people. Richa had reacted to Northern Army Commander Lt General Upendra Dwivedi's statement that the Indian Army is ready to execute any orders on taking back Pakistan-occupied Kashmir wherein she had quoted the same and tweeted, “Galwan says Hi.” Now, director Vivek Agnihotri and Luv Sinha also slammed the actress for her now-deleted post.

Vivek Agnihotri shared a screenshot of Richa Chadha’s tweet and hinted that this is why a section of the population is trending to boycott Bollywood. The Kashmir Files director’s tweet said, “I am not surprised at all with this behavior. They genuinely feel anti-India. Dil ki baat jubaan pe aa hi jaati hai. Apart from this, veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha’s son and politician Luv Sinha also praised Akshay Kumar for calling out Richa Chadha’s tweet. He quoted Akshay’s tweet and said, “Glad to see @akshaykumar Sir speak out when “woke” liberals like her disrespect our valiant soldiers. She needs to realize that doing a few movies doesn’t make her an authority on the armed forces.” Take a look at the tweet.

For the unversed, Akshay Kumar shared Richa Chadha’s tweet and stated how hurt he is to see the same. The Ram Setu actor had stated, “Hurts to see this. Nothing ever should make us ungrateful towards our armed forces. Woh hain toh aaj hum hain (We exist because of them).” However, his tweet received a mixed response from the netizens. While some appreciated him for speaking against the Fukrey actress’ post, others took a jibe at his Canadian citizenship. Richa had soon taken down the post and shared an apology citing that her tweet wasn’t aimed to be an insult to the Indian armed forces.
