In the past few years, Alia Bhatt has not only grown to be a versatile actor, but has also evolved as an individual. A change in her personality was pretty evident when she graced the couch of Koffee With Karan 7 this year with her Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani co-star Ranveer Singh. She was more poise, confident and effortless. But one thing about Alia that reminded several fans of OG diva Kareena Kapoor Khan , was her sass which apparently went up a few notches this season.
In the past, Alia herself has confessed that she is a big fan of Bebo just like the rest of us. So she is bound to be inspired. But her latest statement, which is very similar to what Kareena said in an earlier interview, has now offended the audience. Back in 2020, during the nepotism debate, Kareena had said, “Aap Jaa Rahe Ho Na Film Dekhne? Mat Jao. Nobody has forced you.” This was one reason why her recently released film Laal Singh Chaddha fell prey to the boycott trend.
Well, in a recent chat with Mid Day, Alia talked about the negativity that comes her way due to the nepotism debate. She stated, “I can’t keep defending myself verbally. And if you don't like me, don't watch me. I can’t help it. That’s something I can't do (anything about]. People have something to say. Hopefully, I will prove to them with my movies that I am actually worth the space I occupy.” That did not go down well with social media users.
