Wife Alia Bhatt is ‘dal chawal mein tadka aur achaar’: Ranbir Kapoor on his marital experience

Ever since Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhat have tied marital knot earlier this year, the celebrity couple has confessed love for each other in public on just rare occasions. This may have more to do with the fact that the two Bollywood actors are very busy with their respective projects post marriage.

However, Ranbir couldn’t hold on himself at Shamshera ’s trailer launch event on Friday, where he beautifully described how Alia’s entry into his life has made it special. During the launch, Ranbir shared how 2022 is a big year for him. Not only was he married to Alia, his two big projects – ‘ Brahmastra ’ and ‘Shamshera’ are scheduled to be released this year.

While sharing his marriage experience, Ranbir contradicted his own famous dialogue from blockbuster - Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani -- "Shaadi is dal chawal for pachaas saal till you die; arre life mein thoda bahut keema pav, tangdi kabab, hakka noodle bhi hona chahiye nah?" “But boss, zindagi ke tazurbe ke bad dal chawal hi best hai. Jo Alia hai meri life mai, wo dal chawal mai tadka hai and achaar hai,” Ranbir said.“I couldn’t have asked for a better life partner in my life,” he also said.

Earlier, it was Alia in 2019, who was seen publicly displaying her emotions onstage for Ranbir after she was awarded the Best Actor Award for Raazi at 64th Filmfare Awards, 2019. Alia had said, "Tonight's all about love, so last but not the least, my special one...Thank you for making my heart smile and my eyes shine...I love you.”

Meanwhile, Shamshera is all set to release on 22 July 2022. The movie also features Sanjay Dutt in an intense avatar as Daroga Shuddh Singh. Bollywood is eyeing both big-budget movies closely at a time when most releases have fallen flat on their faces.
