Recently, Sara’s first look from her upcoming thriller drama inspired by a true story, Ae Watan Mere Watan was unveiled. Written by Darab Farooqui and Kannan Iyer, the film is about an unsung hero known for setting up an underground radio that functioned during the Quit India phase of the independence struggle in 1942.
Sharing her excitement about playing the role of freedom fighter, Sara said, “it is very challenging to essay a character that is vastly different from anything that I’ve done before, it is a project I’m going to work really hard on. And most importantly, I’m going to cherish every day that I get to play an enigmatic freedom fighter,” she said in a statement. On the personal front, she is being rumoured to be dating cricketer Shubman Gill.
