Aamir Khan reveals the only similarity between Laal Singh Chaddha and PK

When the much awaited trailer of Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan ’s upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha released, netizens had mixed reactions to it. While some were intrigued to see Naga Chaitanya and Mona Singh in unexpected characters, many others compared it to Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump. But there were some who were reminded of Aamir’s film PK after seeing his character Laal-- the same big curious eyes and similar expressions that we had seen in the 2014 film.
Well, in a recent chat with Pinkvilla, Aamir has now admitted that there is one big similarity between PK and Laal, but added that they are very different characters. He was quoted saying, “I think you all should watch the film and then decide. I will tell you why, because there is one similarity in Laal and PK and that is innocence. Laal is innocent and so is PK. This is a very strong quality which both of them possess. So, in the trailer you might not be able to see the difference which you will see in the whole performance.”
Also starring Anushka Sharma , Sushant Singh Rajput, Sanjay Dutt and Boman Irani, Rajkumar Hirani’s PK featured Aamir as a quirky alien who came to our planet to research. The actor went on to share that when the audiences watch his performance in Laal Singh Chaddha, he hopes they see a whole new different character with just one similarity with PK. Well, we hope so too! Helmed by Advait Chandan, the comedy drama is all set to arrive in theatres on 11th August.
