Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania's early box office projections give the movie the best opening weekend collection of the franchise

The early box office predictions for Ant-Man 3 in the domestic markets are out and it looks like the studio is expecting the movie to have a much bigger opening weekend collection compared to An-Man1 and 2.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is the first movie in the fifth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is considered by many fans to be a fresh start for the franchise after the lukewarm reactions from audiences to a lot of shows and movies from phase four.

factor in the fact that the third installments in the Marvel franchise always have higher openings than the previous entries, Like the case with Spider-Man: No Way Home and Thor: Ragnarok and these predictions make a lot of sense.

Currently, the movie is estimated to gross somewhere between 96 million and 131 million from domestic territories and a total of around 249 million to 347 million by the end of its theatrical run.

In India, as of Sunday, the movie has sold over 30,000 tickets after advance booking opened last weekend not bad considering the lack of popularity of the franchise in the country compared to Black Panther, which managed to secure 40,000 within the same timeframe.

The project will be the biggest Ant-Man movie to date, with Peyton Reed returning to direct making him the second director to complete an MCU trilogy along with Jon Watts (Spider-Man).

The movie will be set inside the Quantum Realm and also introduce the city of Chronopolis, which is ruled by Kang. In the comics, is a multiversal city ruled by Kang the Conqueror. It is a city of limitless time and the center of Kang's conquest.

This will be the third Ant-Man movie starring Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Kathryn Newton, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Michael Douglas.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is set to hit the big screen on February 17, 2023.
