Aquaman 2 could be dead in the water after negative reactions to early test screenings

The last movie in the old DCEU lineup is director James Wan's Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, the sequel to the massively sucessfull Aquaman but it looks like the movie could be in hot water.

according to reactions from the early test screen for the movie, the movie is really bad and has been called the worst DC movie, which is saying a lot considering some of the awful movies that have come out of the franchise.

This could also be the reason that Jason Momoa has been recast as Lobo. The actor has always expressed in playing the role of the iconic bounty hunter in a movie. In the comics Lobo is an alien from the planet of Czarina, who have superstrength and fortitude, he is also the last of his kind.

While plot details remain under wraps, there is a rumor floating around that in the movie Aquaman will form an uneasy alliance with an old enemy to save the kingdom of Atlantis from a new threat.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is officially in post-production but has been going through several changes due to restructuring going on in DC Studios.

Initially, Micheal Keaton was supposed to play an alternative version of Batman in the movie but was replaced by Ben Affleck's Batman, who will also appear in the upcoming Flash movie starring Ezra Miller.

Keaton was also supposed to have a big role in the canceled Batgirl movie with starred Leslie Grace in the lead.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is directed by James Wan and stars Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Temuera Morrison, and Nicole Kidman.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is scheduled to hit theaters on December 25, 2023.

Meanwhile, the next movie in the DC lineup is Shazam! Fury of the Gods, starring Zachary Levi in the lead.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods will hit theaters worldwide on 17 March 2023.
