The Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer Fighter is soaring high up gloriously after an impressive take-off. The movie will soon be crossing the Rs 100 crore mark. It has been directed by Siddharth Anand and is a befitting tribute to the bravery and courage of the Indian Air Force.
Talking about the same, according to a news report in Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 28 crore on its third day. The total collections now stand at Rs 90 crore. Needless to say, the movie will soon surpass the Rs 100 crore mark. The total occupancy of Fighter on Saturday (January 27) was 28.58%.
A news report on India TV also reported that the film has a total occupancy in the morning shows of 17.6%, in the afternoon shows of 26.90%, in the evening shows of 33.52%, and in the night shows of 40.82%. Owing to positive word of mouth, the movie might see a greater jump in the numbers. The ariel actioner revolves around the Balakot airstrike conducted by the Indian Armed Forces near the town of Balakot in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan.
It also stars Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, Rishabh Sawhney, and Sanjeeda Shaikh in pivotal roles. The movie has been reportedly banned in the Gulf countries barring UAE. The reason behind the same is the mention of some dialogues like ‘India Occupied Pakistan.’
Desimartini’s review of Fighter reads, ‘Fighter soars high on all the notes be the soul-stirring message of patriotism and the courage of the IAF soldiers or the technicalities of the ariel action sequences. The comparisons with Tom Cruise’s cult film Top Gun were inevitable but Fighter stands out when it comes to the aesthetics of the action scenes. The special effects by Vishal Patnaik and stunts by Parvez Sheikh have been curated meticulously. The spirit of the IAF soldiers and their mannerisms does not look exaggerated or artificial. Siddharth Anand gives all the characters to breathe in the screenplay and not one supporting cast member looks underutilized. The movie keeps you on the edge of your seats during the entire time with its emotions, action scenes, performances, dialogues, badassery, and slick execution.’
