One of the most anticipated action movies of the year, John Wick Chapter 4 had a special screening at this year's South by Southwest Film and TV Festival in Austin.
The John Wick franchise has grossed over 500 million dollars worldwide and is one of the most successful and popular movie franchises in the world.
In the movie will see John realizes that the only way to defeat the High Table is from within and decide to challenge existing member The Marquis de Gramont in a one-on-one fight to the death for his seat at the table.
He is assisted on his mission by the Bowery King, who survives his assassination attempt by the High Table and now wants revenge.
So the early reviews are out and most critics praise the action set pieces and Keanu Reeves's performance, however, a few did point out the movie's long runtime and how it has a few pacing issues.
So let's take a look at what critics have to say about John Wick's latest adventure.
#RT @Variety: "Is #JohnWick4 too long? You bet it is. At moments, it’s like the action film as liturgical church service. Yet the movie is conceived as a knowingly overstuffed gift to series fans, and on that level it succeeds." https://t.co/rErFFMaufp

John Wick: Chapter 4 pushes the envelope in the action genre as we know it. The cast is STACKED and the fight scenes are dynamic! After 4 movies, you’d think there’d be some fatigue. This is not the case, you’ll just have to see it for yourself. #JohnWick4 pic.twitter.com/6LR6TxBkmT

It's like a Greek epic that's, yes, full of unparalleled action (and guns), and the set pieces are phenomenal. But it's also about relationships and love. What a breathtaking, heartrending story! I can't wait to see it again. pic.twitter.com/n5cJjWa73B
