The trailer for the Netflix movie Khufiya is finally out now. The film stars Tabu, Ali Fazal, and Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead roles. It is based on real-life incidents and is an adaptation of the novel Escape To Nowhere by former Chief of the Counter Espionage Unit of R&AW, Amar Bhushan.
Talking about the Khufiya trailer, it revolves around someone being a mole in R&AW and leaking confidential information which can be a threat to national security. Tabu who plays an R&AW agent is assigned to headline the operation to find out who is this traitor. Everything points to Ali Fazal’s character who might be committing this malpractice for a secret agenda of his. The R&AW team installs CCTV cameras and mics inside Ali’s house and his wife played by Wamiqa Gabbi also comes under the radar. The movie promises to be an adrenaline-rushing cat-and-mouse chase between the agency and Fazal’s character. Take a look at the trailer.
Khufiya has been helmed by veteran director Vishal Bharadwaj. It is all set to be released on Netflix on October 5, 2023. The director in an earlier statement spoke about the movie and said, “I have always been very fascinated with the world of espionage and am truly excited to explore this genre with Khufiya. This film also gave me a chance to reunite with Tabu and work for the very first time with two very talented actors- Ali Fazal and Wamiqa Gabbi. It also marks my partnership with Netflix and I cannot wait to share this thrilling story with viewers across 190 countries.’’
Many fans also reacted to the trailer of Khufiya. One of the fans wished that the movie would have been released on the big screen. The comment said, “These s of films deserve theatre releases. I am tired of seeing only mass films in theatres.” The film also marks Tabu’s third collaboration with Vishal Bharadwaj after Haider and Maqbool.
